Earthenware horse figure, inspired by the summer sky, is finished with turquoise and black copper glaze, fired to cone 04 in an oxidation atmosphere. The work is constructed from extruded and thrown forms that describe musculature and gesture through positive form and open space. The horse is developed from the ground up, while the clay is in the wet stage. Measures 12"h, 13"w, 4"d.
