The rapidly-changing COVID-19 situation has presented us with some new challenges. TRI is acting in compliance with Michigan Governor Whitmer's stay-at-home executive order. All lessons and activities at the barn have been suspended until it is safe to resume them.
We are committed to our mission of teaching people of ALL abilities how to ride, interact, and enjoy horses. The TRI “family” is strong—here are a few simple steps you can take to help us as we ride this out together:
1) Connect With Us
Follow us on social media for frequent updates and your continued dose of “horse time!” Remember to “like, share & comment.” Our community grows with each click!
2) Keep Learning!
View our “Ask the Instructor” series or read submissions from our “Share Your TRI Story” contest. Download and use our horse-themed activity pages. All accessible below!
3) Consider Continued Support
TRI will be part of this community for many years to come with continuing support from our loyal donors, families, staff and volunteers. In spite of the challenge and sacrifice we are all experiencing, we ask that you help us keep our promise to provide top-quality horsemanship activities to those who need it most. Our promise to you is that we will resume our important work as quickly as it is safe to do so.
Ask the Instructor!
Here is your chance! Ask us anything, and we’ll do our best to answer it with photos, online resources, or short videos. We’ll share questions and responses with the entire TRI community on our website & social media platforms, but we will NOT share your name! So, feel free to ask (almost) anything!

Share Your TRI Story!
What do you love about TRI? What has been your biggest riding accomplishment? Why do you enjoy volunteering? Who is your favorite horse?
Starting the week of March 30, we’ll select some some story submissions to be featured on our website & social media platforms. We will not share your name, unless you’d like us to! The top stories will receive a special surprise from us!
If you’d like drawings or photographs to go with your story, you can e-mail them to: rider@therapeuticridinginc.org. You can also use our Activity Pages for inspiration!

Activity Pages
Here are some great resources that you can use to keep learning about horses! Feel free to download & print them!

Can you name them all?
